My learning journey
My learning journey with The Art Institute was really exciting as it turned out to be very practical rather than memorization of the dates and the names of the famous people in art history. One of the most interesting things that we learned there is the topic of Renaissance art, its specific features such as realism, perspective, and human emotions. Learning about the Medici family's impact on artists and creativity at that period was truly exciting because I never thought that one family could have such a great impact on artists and architecture at that time. This encouraged me to find out about the Crown family and their impact on art and culture? since the rich people who are patrons play a great role in the protection of artists' talent. It was great to learn about the formal elements of art which help to analyze paintings and sculptures with ease. Comparing the art of early medieval period with that of Renaissance period was helpful for understanding the development of art styles.
