Corporation founded in late 2011; they were one of the first companies to introduce a hands-on method to help their users write code and verify it directly in their Internet browser, rather than having to install complicated programming computer, systems and development software in order to learn how to develop code that could run on the Internet.
There are multiple programming courses offered by Codecademy including coding in Python, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SQL, and Java as well as multiple career paths in web designer, database designer or data scientist, information security administrator, and computer scientist.
In addition to the courses, Codecademy provides quizzes, projects, certificates of completion, and structured career guide programs to provide learners with real experience and build skills. Codecademy opened my eyes to it.
I never thought I'd enjoy coding until Codecademy opened my eyes to it. A couple of months back, I was looking for another career path, but did not have a clue on how to go about it. I chose to start with HTML and CSS since the idea of programming looked too daunting. This site was very interactive; one would be able to see the fruits of his/her labor instantly. Afterwards, I moved on to learning Python, thanks to the elaborate explanations which made complex matters easy. There is a course that shows you how to use command prompt in an attempt to demystify the intimidating process. This enabled me to execute my learn python programs on my own locally. At the moment, I am still learning new things every week, but at least I know what I'm learning now is of practical value.

The relationship between Codecademy
The relationship between Codecademy and me began when I needed to automatize some tasks at my workplace. Being completely ignorant in the world of programming, I anticipated to have a lot of trouble starting to work with the platform right away. However, thanks to its interactive character, it became much easier for me to code. Among all courses offered by the website, the learn python became my favourite one since every lecture followed the one before it organically. Moreover, I learnt about the python zip function when trying to solve one of the challenges, which appeared to be extremely useful in the future. Besides that, I became familiar with basics of html and css and even gained an understanding of how to work with command prompt without looking through tutorial every single time.

technical skills to perform better in my job
When I told one of my friends that I need to enhance my technical skills to perform better in my job, he suggested I join Codecademy. I never expected it to be anything exciting. The courses were interactive and I got a chance to code while learning. I started off with the html and css course followed by learn python course. It was all broken down into easy to digest pieces. What I did not expect was to learn how to use the command prompt. This made working on local projects a little easier for me. Also learned how to make an elegant markdown table for my projects which I use frequently with my colleagues now. Over the period of a couple of months, I felt that I have truly developed confidence rather than earning any certificates.

watching random YouTube videos and browsing free blogs
After weeks of watching random YouTube videos and browsing free blogs, I got enrolled in Codecademy. Everything started to make sense after I enrolled into their curriculum. First, I did html and css. Afterward, I did python and finally, I grasped things that had been difficult before. There was a project that taught me about python zip which is quite useful when it comes to working with several lists at the same time. The whole learning process is explained in a way that involves real-life examples and not hours of lecture. Additionally, the coding challenge lessons were really motivating and helped me solve things on my own. Sometimes it wasn't easy, but after finishing each challenge, I felt a real sense of achievement.

brush up on my technical skills
I began using Codecademy just to brush up on my technical skills for my job, but it turned out that the site is something I enjoy doing every day. Having had zero experience in programming before, the Codecademy website taught me how to write programs without feeling like I’m drowning in new information. Among all courses I have tried, the one that I enjoyed the most is learn python, where I learned what functions and loops are. I was also pleased to learn about formatting markdown tables as it helps me format the documentation of projects at work. There was even a small section about using how to use command prompt, where I learned how to navigate through files. Each lesson made me feel better and braver to move forward. Reflecting on my journey, I wouldn’t imagine myself comfortable with coding before, but now I feel ready for more.

From my own experience
From my own experience, Codeacademy (with a paid month-to-month subscription) teaches only the basics. I began using Codeacademy to refresh my understanding of Python from university, but ended up needing something more advanced to work on my code skills.
